Corporate event at Northern Norway’s best cross-country skiing trail?

Are you planning to arrange an event with the management team or the board to Bodø or Salten? Take a trip to Jakobsbakken in Sulitjelma and combine work with activities and fresh air. Gather new energy and have a good time with your colleagues.

Leadership workshop

Spring is a time when many companies organize start-up meetings, new employee meetings or kick off trips for their employees. Just 3 hours from the pulsating life in Oslo, there is an old mining town with one of the largest unspoiled wilderness areas we have in Norway.

At Jakobsbakken we have the opportunity to tailor the event to your wishes. Do you want to rent the apartments and arrange the rest yourself or have a host who can serve food experiences consisting of local food from Salten, we will arrange it.

Northern Norway’s best cross-country trail

In Sulisfjellet there are beautiful scenery, cross country skiing trails and according to Martin Johnsrud Sundby conditions that match what the national team meets in the World Cup. Starting from Jakobsbakken, you can ski for about 30 km without skiing the same trails twice. The trail from Jakobsbakken goes to Sagmo, one of several places in Sulitjelma where there were mines in the 20th century, and on to Tjorvi which is close to Junkerdal National Park. The trail profile is hilly and you walk both on highs with beautiful views of the Sulitjelma massif, where the mountains extend up to 2000 meters above sea level and along idyllic rivers.

Accommodation

We have two apartments with a total of 16 accommodations (8 in each apartment). You can see the rooms and what the apartments look like here:

We have the option of connecting the computer and Mac to the TV around the dining table. Here it is possible to sit approx 12 people. If you are going to stay two nights, we have a 20% discount on your entire stay.

Food

We can serve you throughout your stay with breakfast, lunch, and dinner – as well as fruits and snacks.

For breakfast, there is the usual Norwegian home-cooked food. With bread, salmon, eggs, bacon, etc.

For lunch, there are warm dishes (lasagna, soups, etc).

For dinner, there is a three-course menu. Here we often use salmon and reindeer, prepared with local ingredients. If you have any desires for food, just say in advance we will arrange it.

We sell food and wine for the food.

Transport

There are several ways to get from Bodø airport to Jakobsbakken. For example, we can arrange transport by minibus to you. If you want to travel by train from Bodø to Fauske, you can do that and then we can pick you up by minibus at Fauske. You can also rent rental cars in Bodø and drive yourself to Jakobsbakken. The trip from Bodø to Jakobsbakken takes 90 minutes.
